Here are two common examples:<\/p><ul data-sourcepos=\"3:1-8:0\"><li data-sourcepos=\"3:1-5:0\"><b>Coastal Willow (Salix caroliniana):<\/b> Another native species, the coastal willow, is well-suited for South Carolina&#8217;s coastal regions. It&#8217;s a smaller, shrub-like willow that tolerates salt spray and sandy soils.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"3:1-5:0\"><strong>Black Willow (Salix nigra):<\/strong> This native willow species is widely distributed throughout South Carolina.
